Lucy is a 12-year-old Border Collie and Yellow Lab mix. She has hip dysplasia in one leg as many labs do. That leg began to weaken, which caused her to overuse the opposite leg which as a result, caused atrophy and knee problems. She had a hard time walking and even standing. She began swim therapy and built her muscles back up in her legs. She didn’t have to have surgery and could stand and walk again. She loves swimming and coming to see Karen at the pool. Swim therapy saved her quality of life and the length of her life with us, and that is worth every penny.
